Teen Serving in Slovakia 19 year old Ontario teen through music
Luke Benjamin is 19 years old and just left Ontario to serve with Youth for Christ in Slovakia/Eastern Europe for one year. This is a courageous step considering he didn't speak any Slovak before he arrived.

But, there is a language that breaks all the language barriers of the world, and Luke "speaks" it very well – MUSIC!

His musical skills and passion for worship (he plays guitar, bass and sings) made him a perfect fit for serving with the music-oriented ministry of YFC Slovakia.

Through YFC Slovakia Luke got connected to the band "TNT Worship".  This band has a passion to see a revival in the Catholic church of Slovakia and would love to see more unity among the different denominations within Slovakia. Luke is now playing with them on a regular basis.

Isn’t that incredible? Luke has the opportunity to become part of shaping the culture and history of Slovakia’s church, while serving there for a short time! He is very thankful for that privilege!

For us, the Global Engagement team, it is an honour and a joy to walk alongside young people like Luke whom God calls to build the Kingdom of God worldwide.

If you know of any young Jesus-Follower between age 18-25, who is looking for an opportunity to serve in the worldwide family of Youth for Christ, feel free to refer them to our International Volunteer Coordinator Jeannette Thiessen
