Waterdown Youth Centre hosting job search program Flamborough Review

A unique community partnership, with friendship and support as its cornerstones, will be launched next week to help young adults find employment. Called the CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Job Club, the eight-week pilot program will start next Thursday (Feb. 11), running from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the club room of the YFC (Youth For Christ) Youth Centre at the corner of Parkside Drive and Hamilton Street in Waterdown.

The course, the first of its kind in Canada, is modelled after CAP job clubs which have operated in the United Kingdom for the past several years, said Helen Norris, church services manager with the group that helps local churches tackle the root causes of poverty.
