Reports to: Terra Nova Program Director
Primary Duty: The camp director prayerfully leads a team of staff and volunteers to oversee the
development and operation of the day camp. This includes team leadership development,
establishing objectives, curriculum, registration, procedures and reporting for the camp. The
Day Camp director promotes the ministry in the community. Ultimately, the Day Camp Director
is responsible for overseeing the success of the camp through intentional leadership
development of the staff with the goal of impacting the local community.
a. Leading, developing, supervising the camp program for staff and participants
b. Implement a strategy for developing student leaders
c. Develop and maintain exceptional communication standards with all stakeholders
d. Ensure that individual kids and teens are followed up, nurtured and discipled
e. Manage camp budget & maintain records of attendance and waiver forms
f. Recruitment, management, training and oversight of staff & volunteers
g. Promote the ministry in the community
h. Ensure all MYU policies are followed
i. Maintain a clean building throughout camp

Partnership Development (5%)
The Camp Director is responsible for raising a portion of their salary. Please see Program
Director for details and amount required.
To fulfill these responsibilities, the Terra Nova Christian Day Camp Director will be required to
use the Terra Nova Ministry Centre, their home and other locations deemed appropriate to
impact the lives of West Island area youth.
