The Program Coordinator (Chateauguay Valley) will be given the freedom to pursue your calling to Youth Ministry within the larger Montreal Youth Unlimited ministry, working alongside the ministry leader and a dedicated team of volunteers to create and implement amazing programs and engaging drop-in activities for high school aged youth, helping in hosting special events, connecting with rural churches, giving young people in the community opportunities to make positive choices in their lives and introducing them to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
Volunteers form an essential and integral part of the ministry of MYU. The Volunteer Coordinator
provides support by ensuring volunteers are encouraged, empowered and equipped to fulfill their calling
within the MYU organization. The Coordinator ensures necessary tools and procedures are in place and
followed to ensure volunteers are evaluated and integrated into the MYU organization.
The Director is responsible for all programming at the Camp and includes developing a vision and
strategy in alignment with the MYU strategic plan. The Director must recruit and develop staff and
volunteers and provide leadership, encouragement and inspiration for the Camp ministry. Further, the
Director must develop community networks and marketing of the Camp as well as ensuring the effective
management of program budgets. The Director is also responsible for the general maintenance and
upkeep of the premises, recommending improvements and upgrades to the facility.
The La Corde program coordinator ensures the activities designed for youth attending local Elementary
schools: breakfast, lunch and after-school (homework help & life skills teaching) function well. The Coordinator
ensures all aspects of the program meet the objectives established for each activity. This includes curriculum
and procedure development, registration, planning and reporting. The Coordinator is also responsible for
establishing and maintaining communication with the program volunteers. Further, the Coordinator is
responsible for establishing a calendar for breakfast and lunch meals, as well as afternoon snacks.
The primary duty of the Resource Development Coordinator is to support and equip youth leaders and parents throughout the province by identifying resource needs and developing strategies to respond to these needs.
As a Resource Coordinator, you will be given the freedom to pursue your calling within the larger MYU ministry; working alongside the Executive Director, Communications Coordinator, and Directors of each ministry. You will create and implement strategies, Produce and coordinate the translation of written texts, curate a selection of quality resources as well as develop a database of such resources.
The ideal candidate will need to be well organized and enthusiastic about the immense need for relevant, high-quality resource materials. The candidate will be great in personal time management and able to prioritize tasks as needed. An overall people-person is essential, as the Coordinator must develop and maintain professional working relationships with parents, other organizations as well as MYU staff. Proficient bilingualism is essential.
Given the nature of the work, the successful Coordinator will need to have access to their own transportation as light travel will be required from time to time.
