We are looking for an individual that can plan, implement and engage in youth activities within a local Youth Centre in Owen Sound, ON. The interested candidate should be able to create programs based on their God-given abilities, while considering the needs of the community youth they are serving. Relationship building capabilities are essential to this position. Responsibilities include creative programming, some administrative tasks and creating a support base of ministry partners who will financially support you in this ministry.

As a Program Coordinator, you will be given the freedom to pursue your calling within the larger MYU ministry; work alongside the ministry leader and a dedicated team of volunteers to create and implement amazing programs and engaging drop-in activities for high school aged youth; help in hosting special events; connect with rural churches; give young people in the community opportunities to make positive choices in their lives, and introduce them to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
The ideal candidate will need to be organized and enthusiastic about changing the lives of youth in the community, and willing to take initiative to get things done. You will learn how to plan and carry out large and small events, how to coordinate with a team, and how to connect with people from every walk and sector of your community. Bilingualism is essential.
Given the nature of the work, the successful Coordinator will need to have access to their own transportation as light travel will be required from time to time.

We have a impactful and fun Cheer Crew program which is growing and in need of a Director! The Sports Ministry Director’s initial primary duties are to provide leadership and direction for the hockey Cheer Crew program with the Cobourg Cougars, facilitating its immediate expansion to the Port Hope Panthers, and planned expansion to the several other hockey teams and a lacrosse team in Northumberland County. The position starts at 20 hours per week and will grow to 40 hours per week as the sports ministry grows under your leadership (details below).
